
Continuing his One Cubic Foot series, which observes the density and diversity of life that exists within a 12-inch cube of soil, air, or sea, David Liittschwager photographed organisms found in seawater collected directly below the bridge. His pictures capture often overlooked details of the stunningly varied ecosystem that is San Francisco Bay.
