
René de Guzman
René de Guzman has been senior curator of art at the Oakland Museum of California since 2007. Previously, de Guzman was director of visual arts at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. His curatorial work has included Beautiful Losers, Black Panther Rank and File, and Time After Time: Asia and Our Moment, as well as one-person exhibitions by emerging and midcareer national and international artists such as Josiah McElheny, Patty Chang, Joseph Grigely, Erwin Wurm, and Cornelia Parker, among others. He was the curator of The Marvelous Museum: A Mark Dion Project.
De Guzman was an instructor in FOR-SITE’s education program in 2011.
