
Mia Feuer
Mia Feuer is a Canadian-born artist based in Oakland, California, and is an assistant professor of sculpture at the California College of the Arts. Feuer has traveled the globe conducting multifaceted research and developing projects among various cultural communities in locales that include the West Bank, Egypt during the 2011 revolution, and in the Alberta tar sands of Fort McMurray. Her recent work includes research in the bayous of the Gulf Coast and developing projects with federally unrecognized Indigenous Pointe au Chien and Isle de Jean Charles communities. Feuer has upcoming solo exhibitions at The Esker Foundation in Calgary, Alberta and Locust Projects in Miami, Florida, as well as residencies at the Va Independent Space for Contemporary Art in Isfahan, Iran and the Gulkistan in Laugarvatni, Iceland.
Feuer was an instructor in FOR-SITE’s education program in 2015.
