As an organization dedicated to art about place, the FOR-SITE Foundation places a particular emphasis on the sites in which work is created.
Artist residencies and education programs take place at the Foundation’s 50-acre residency site on the edge of the South Yuba River gorge, just outside the historic gold-mining town of Nevada City. The Presidio/Site/Sculpture initiative has as its primary location the Presidio of San Francisco. FOR-SITE is engaged in an ongoing dialogue with the Presidio Trust regarding future projects. |
