Although the FOR-SITE Foundation embraces an expansive definition of place, much of the foundation’s work has been grounded in a few distinctive sites. Nevada City, California, is the location of the FOR-SITE artist residency, and FOR-SITE has organized major exhibitions and installations at the historic Presidio of San Francisco and Fort Point.
